August Tip - Word 97, 2000

To spell check just one word , move your mouse pointer in the middle of the mis-spelt word and do a right mouse click.  A menu will appear giving you correct spelling suggestions.

July Tip - Excel 97, 2000

Want to quickly add something up but don't want the result showing on the spreadsheet?  Have you noticed that when you highlight a group of numbers the total will be shown on the bottom right hand side of the screen (the Status Bar)!

June Tip - Access, Word 97, 2000

To move to the end of a document, or a set of records hold down the Control key and then press the End key.  To move to the beginning of a document or set of records hold down the Control key and then press the Home key.

May Tip - Excel, Word 97,2000

Do you want to open more than one file at a time?  Use the File Open command as usual, then hold down the control key and click on all the files you wish to open.  When you are ready to open them all click on the Open button.

April Tip - Windows 95, 98, 2000

If you want to find files, Instead of opening up My Computer, or locating Explorer you can do a right mouse click on the Start button and then select the Find Files option.

March's Tip - Word 97 & Word 2000

Did you know that you can select things by clicking on the left hand side of the document in the margin;

Single click - will highlight a line
Double click - will highlight a paragraph
Triple click - will highlight the whole document

To highlight one word just double click on it!
